The Living Walls are also known as “Vertical Gardens”,”Garden Murals”,”Plant Canvases” in modern era. Conventionally, by vertical gardens, planting a tall tree or training a vine to create a living wall comes to mind but things have changed in last two decades.

Vertical gardening is  especially useful where there is shortage of space but not of imagination. These living walls look beautiful with their green leaves, colorful vegetables vertically erected on front of houses. These Vertical Gardens or Living Walls can be grown on any type of wall inside or out with or without soil. These Living Walls are becoming very popular due to their natural beauty and natural air purification.

Its also becoming the subject of art.  Musee du quai Branly musuem near the Eiffel Tower in Paris is the best example of vertical garden work by the famous artist Patrick Blanc

In one line,

“Vertical gardening makes it easier to have ornaments and eat them, too.”
